How often do you struggle to fit exercise into your life?

With many of us trying to balance our professional and personal responsibilities, it’s no surprise that we struggle to make exercise and healthy eating a priority in our lives. It’s vital to ensure we’re scheduling in an ample amount of time to take care of our physical health as this in turn helps us to nurture and strengthen our mental health and wellbeing.

Incorporating exercise into your hectic schedule should be a non-negotiable as it can…

  • Improve your concentration
  • Sharpen your memory
  • Increase the speed in which you learn new tasks
  • Enhance your creativity
  • Lower your stress levels.
How can you stop your busy schedule impacting your fitness goals?

Make Exercise A Non-Negotiable

In the same way you schedule meetings, phone calls and time to respond to emails, block out specific times which you will devote to exercise. This could be first thing in the morning, lunchtime, or even after work. Including your fitness sessions into your diary will help to hold you accountable.

Get Your Steps In

If you have a desk job, it’s so easy to stay in the same static position for the duration of your working day. By sitting for long periods of time, you could be increasing your chances of developing a long-term health issue like obesity, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, or even excess body fat around your waist. Make a point to get up every hour or so to have a walk about and to stretch your muscles. If you’re able to fit in an exercise session midway through your day, some light calisthenic exercises like squats, lunges, or jumping jacks are a fantastic way to get your blood circulating properly. Not to mention how they will help to release endorphins which’ll help you to feel more positive, motivated and refreshed.

Sign Up To A Local Gym

After a long day at work the last thing you want to do is take a long commute to a gym. Check out which gyms are local to your office, or to your home if you work from there. This will encourage you to make less excuses when it comes to working out.

Exercise With A Friend

Working out should be fun! Exercising with a friend will not only help you both to become more accountable, but it will help the task feel more like a social event instead of something you have to do in order to stay healthy.

Work With A Personal Trainer

A personal trainer will not only give you the encouragement and support you need to stay on track with your fitness goals, but we will give you the education you need so you can continue to develop your health and fitness away from the gym environment.

At Evolve Coaching & Fitness we work with busy professionals to help them build strength and lose weight in a sustainable way. We treat all of our clients as individuals. We take your history, current ability, and future goals into consideration and create a personalised fitness plan to ensure you can get to where you want to be.

Our team of professionals understand how easily life and work can get in the way of fitness goals which is why we offer personal training sessions in the comfort of your own home, virtual training sessions, and we can also train clients in various different North London gyms.

If 2022 is the year you are determined to make your health and fitness goals a priority, we’d love to hear from you. We will work together to ensure you get the results you deserve.
